About
Allison is an experienced psychotherapist who can help you navigate and overcome challenges such as substance misuse, domestic violence/narcissistic abuse, stress and anxiety, relationship and attachment issues, trauma, and depression/mood disorders. Furthermore, Allison holds a passion for working with people through grief and loss. With her authentic and compassionate approach, she will guide you through your journey to sustainable mental health and wellness.
Education
Allison received her formal education in Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University (2016), and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University (2019). She obtained her professional license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2023 in the state of Georgia.
During her undergraduate, she was a teacher’s assistant and a research assistant. Her research was on stress and anxiety and how they impact the body. In addition, she hosted group meditations at a holistic center during this time.
In graduate school, Allison worked in the addiction recovery setting as a group facilitator, program coordinator, and business development representative in various programs. In addition to her work in substance misuse and recovery, she interned and worked in the private practice setting. She treated clients ranging from 18 years old to 70 years old with various mental health disparities, from life transition to mental health crisis. Further, Allison worked with private practices and groups that instructed her education and passion for working with clients who are receiving Ketamine Assisted Treatment and/or Psychedelic Assisted Treatment.
Vision
In 2023, Allison opened her private practice with a focus on mental health counseling and wellness called Betta Strength Counseling. Her goal is to help clients achieve their highest selves by tapping into their unique power and assisting them in overcoming life’s most challenging moments and dilemmas. Allison believes that each client’s journey is so intrinsically woven that no one path looks the same. She knows that sometimes you must be creative to find solutions that work best for the client. Allison continues to grow in her professional development to ensure she can offer multiple skill sets to her client base.
